Nowashe Village is proud to announce a wide variety of offerings in celebration of Indigenous Peoples Day.

Clan Mother Shoran Piper (Golden Hill Paugussett) will start the day off with an opening blessing and South Windsor Mayor Liz Pendleton (Cherokee, Choctaw) will welcome visitors.

Orchard Hill Foreign Language teacher Marisa Lewis, will be discussing the Indigenous cultures of Peru with objects and artifacts for visitors to explore.

Finally, join outdoors guide Jack Albano, owner of Metacomet Canoe & Kayak, for a tour of the CT River in South Windsor. Learn about the CT River’s vital role in Indigenous life yesterday and today.
